Activity 6.4 : Learning the National Anthems of the & preparing Flags for India and Myanmar

Age Group : 7 to 9 years (Classes II & III)

Countries Studies : India & Myanmar

Brief Description : To understand how each nation has a unique identity which is represented through its National symbols like Flags and National Anthem. All students of classes II & III prepared flags of India and Myanmar. They learnt and presented the National Anthems of both the countries in the Assembly. The students identified the countries on the map and learnt some interesting facts about Myanmar.

Objectives :

� These National symbols helped to inculcate a feeling of Inter-Nationalism.
� It familiarized the students with the relevance and significance of colours and symbols in the National Flags.
� The students understood the spirit of the National Anthems.
